DEAR STRANGER ディア・ストレンジャー

DIRECTOR TETSUYA MARIKO 真利子哲也

COMING THIS SEP.

A Japanese man and Taiwanese-American wife's immigrant life unravels when their son disappears. The kidnapping reveals hidden secrets, testing their emotional limits and moral boundaries.

"It’s been several years since we started preparations in the U.S. with a few friends and no real game plan. A lot has happened in the world since then, and while the project has hit some roadblocks, that process itself was fitting for this film — a story about a family living in New York, both fragile and strong, disturbing and beautiful. Japanese and American crew worked hand in hand, pushing each other forward. The cast, centered around Nishijima-san and Lun-Mei-san, tackled a multilingual script with persistence and skill — in English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, and even sign language. Please look forward to this amazing film."
